Man finds a mouse baked into a hot dog bun?
Maybe. Opinions differ on what the odd-looking bun lump is -- but it just might be a mouse.
The story broke in Charlotte, N.C., where Bruce Van Dyne was surprised to find what looked like a mouse baked into one of the hot dog buns he'd purchased from BJ's Wholesale Club.

Van Dyne reported the suspicious lump to Arnold's Bakery, the manufacturer, and the company's bread products were immediately pulled from BJ's shelves. Meanwhile, the bakery conducted tests to determine the identity of the offending lump.
What's the verdict? Mouse-free -- at least according to Arnold's Bakery, which claims the lump was due to "pan accumulation" (read: excess dough), not a rodent.
But the FDA smells a rat. It's conducting its own investigation of the bun amid evidence that the Florida bakery has failed past health inspections.
And what of Van Dyne? To make amends, Arnold's Bakery gave him a gift card and made a charitable donation in his name. Think the gift went to the SPCA?
